James Cameron was the director for movies such as Avatar and the squeal of Terminator. He was mostly involved in making movies that were heavy in CGI. He helped create idea's whilst filming Avatar, which was very successful and hard to make. However, Cameron would mostly direct the camera team rather then input with ideas or be in the movie himself.

James Cameron was the Director of Avatar (2009), The terminator (1984), Terminator (2019) Titanic (1997), Aliens (1986), The Abyss (1989), The Game Changers (2018), Xenogenesis (1978), The American (2010), Beyond Glory (2015), Mission Blue (2014), Side by Side (2012), etc. He became an art director, and a process-projection supervisor on 'Corman's Battle Beyond the Stars' (1980) and he had his first experience as a director with a two week stint on Piranha 2 (1981). James Cameron is one of the most known directors in Hollywood.

James Cameron would use all camera equipment: camera's, lens and any additional camera equipment needed. However he would also use either a laptop/pc to preview the movie live, to see if any changes are needed. Also in the 'Avatar' he used Sony Cine Alta, which at the time was a very high-end camera and still is to this day. The primary camera was Sony CineAlta F23 Camera.

Steven Spielberg was the organizer and manager of hiring the crew, giving permission to use a location, selecting the script to be used, arranging finance and he also directs & edits at points too. He was the main organizer for E.T, which is one of the biggest and most successful movies, in which Steven himself has won many awards from. He worked on movies that usually didn't need much CGI or a high budget , which makes his work even more effective and successful. Steven is also working on a musical 'West Side Story' to be released in December 2020, which is another example of a movie that may not be at a high budget just like his other previous movies.

Steven Allan Spielberg produced: E.T (1982), Jaws (1975), Jurassic Park (1993), Schindler's List (1993), Ready Player One (2018), Duel (1971), Saving Private Ryan (1998), Munich (2005)

The equipment Steven uses is very similar to the equipment most producers use. This includes timetables for the film's schedule, monitors and pc's to make sure he can see what is being filmed for the final movie. However, he also gets equipment for the crew: camera's, sound equipment used in the studio, lights for the cinematographers. He used the Panavision Panaflex Gold Camera and primo Spherical lenses for the Jurassic park (1993). However, he used the ARRIFLEX 35 III Camera for the Schindler's list (1993). Its interesting because he used different camera's for different movies, for example Jurassic park and Schindler's list which were both released and filmed in the same year. Steven uses different camera's to help portray the movie's theme and represent the story-line. Which is most likely why he used a more expensive camera for Jurassic Park, as the better the camera, the more realistic the dinosaurs look.

Comparison

The role of the producer and the director have a high amount of experience with film in the industry. Steven Spielberg is considered the first summer blockbuster and likes to address serious on going issues, teaching himself how the film industry works. James Cameron helped develop the digital 3D Fusion Camera System, after going to the Fullerton Junior College which specialised in the production of citrus produce. Spielberg has been in the film industry for over 25 years, being the producer of movies like E.T and Jaws. Making these major successful movies helped him make different style films like Munich and Jurassic Park.
